Ashi Garami Reverse Figure Four Ankle Lock

While I’m not a fan of the classic figure four grip, the reverse figure four is very sharp and viable grip. Switching the arm that crosses the Achilles puts your wrist blade at a great spot, with better leverage. Particularly used with other positions such as 50/50 and the saddle, it can be devastating.

This is one of the lessons from my new course, Ashi Garami Straight Ankle Lock. The full course is 57 minutes long and has 14 techniques covering purely the straight ankle lock from Ashi Garami. If you enjoy this, you will have plenty more to learn from that course, which is available to all Members of DavidMMA.com.
